leaving aycron

As of April 1st, I am leaving Aycron. I will no longer be a partner at the company. It was a tough decision, but my partners and I believe it’s the best for both Aycron and me.

I learned a lot during the last two years. I leave with many good memories and I will surely miss all the Aycroners. I wish Aycron all the best and I know they will do very well.

A few facts about this decision:

  1. This decision was made a few months ago. The transition involved finding a company in New York to take over my business development responsibilities as a partner.
  2. We are happy with our business development guys in New York and Buenos Aires. We now have a steady flow of projects from the United States, Argentina and Chile.
  3. Aycron and I will continue to work together in future projects, with a new business relationship.
  4. It just felt like the right time to start a new venture and leave Aycron. Aycron now has a clearly defined structure and processes, which allows the company to focus on delivering software projects successfully every month.

I would like to take the opportunity to thank everybody who helped to build Aycron: Partners, employees, business partners, vendors, web designers.

I look back and it amazes me to see all of our achievements. But the best is yet to come.

What’s next for me?

I will focus more on Ruby consulting, open source hacking (like the topsy and whuffiebank gems) and web products’ development (like Hopsy)

I am very excited about my new venture and I can’t wait to get started!
